PET PHOTOGRAPHY
Because they're family too — and they don't stay small forever.
Pet sessions with Lori are exactly what they sound like: joyful, playful, and completely off-leash in spirit. Whether your dog is a perfectly trained lab or a chaotic rescue who doesn’t know sit from stay, Lori has the patience and experience to photograph them at their most authentic.
Sessions take place at outdoor parks and trails across Sacramento — places where your pet can run, explore, and be completely themselves. Lori uses natural light and real movement, so these photos look nothing like stiff studio portraits. They look like your pet.

Pet Photography — FAQ
What types of pets do you photograph?
Primarily dogs and cats, but Lori is happy to photograph any pet. Reach out with details and she’ll let you know if she’s the right fit for your animal.
Does my dog need to be trained?
Not at all. Lori is experienced with all energy levels — from well-trained dogs to excitable puppies who can’t sit still. Bring high-value treats and their favorite toy and leave the rest to Lori.
Where do sessions take place?
Outdoor locations across Sacramento County — popular spots include William Pond Park, Effie Yeaw Nature Center, Dry Creek Trail, and Folsom Lake. Lori will suggest the best location for your pet and the season.
Can I be in the photos too?
Absolutely — pet + owner portraits are included in every session at no extra charge. These are often the most treasured images in the gallery.
What if my pet gets too excited or won't cooperate?
That’s completely normal and nothing to worry about. Sessions are relaxed and flexible. Lori will work with your pet’s mood and energy to capture authentic moments rather than forcing poses.
My pet is aging or ill. Is that okay?
Yes — many clients book senior pet sessions for exactly this reason. These sessions are handled with extra care and patience, and often result in the most meaningful photos of all.
They won't be this age forever.
Book a Sacramento pet session today and let's capture who they are right now.
