Lori is safety-trained in newborn posing — every position your baby is placed in is designed to be gentle and secure. Parents are always present and involved. The session is paced entirely around your baby’s feeding and sleep schedule, so there is absolutely no rush.

When should I book my newborn session?
Book during pregnancy — ideally around week 28–32. Lori will pencil in your due date and you confirm once baby arrives. Newborn sessions are best in the first 5–14 days of life.
Do you come to our home or do we come to you?
Both options are available. In-home sessions are popular because babies are most comfortable in their own environment. Studio sessions offer more controlled lighting and a full prop collection. Lori will help you decide what’s best.
How long does a newborn session take?
Plan for 2–3 hours. Sessions are never rushed — Lori works around feeding breaks and sleep cycles. Some babies cooperate quickly, others take longer. There’s no extra charge for time.
Are the poses safe?
Yes — Lori is formally trained in newborn posing safety. Every position is designed to be gentle and secure for your baby. You are always present and can stop or change anything at any time.
Can siblings and parents be included?
Absolutely. Sibling and family portraits are included in every newborn session at no extra cost. These are often some of the most treasured images from the gallery.
What should I do to prepare?
After booking, Lori sends a detailed prep guide. Key tips: feed baby right before the session starts, keep your home warm (around 75–78°F), and have a change of clothes for siblings. Lori handles everything else.
